I promised puppies didn't I? Well get used to 'em-they're kind of my thing. I've been fostering puppies for about 3 years now and it's easily one of the greatest joys in life for me. Fostering animals is basically the same as fostering orphaned children; you take care of them until they get adopted. In my family, I'm the animal lover so when "we" foster- I foster. From bathing the little nuggets, to waking up at the crack of dawn to yapping or whining, to comforting them when they're afraid of a storm, to cleaning puppy poop off of my mother's brand new rug, nothing beats knowing that I've helped save an animal's life by caring for it. Each puppy I've fostered has touched my life in such a special way, and though it may seem strange, I feel overwhelming joy in my heart just by holding a puppy or watching one of them doze off. Being a foster mom is tough when it comes to goodbyes, but I will never forget each and every pup that I've taken care of, which makes fostering the best non-paying job ever.
